What can I expect of the food in Carpe Diem?
On Carpe Diem, we aim to provide our customers a balanced and healthy diet which replenishes the body and soothes the soul. We try to source our products as much locally grown and organic where possible. A typical menu for the day at Carpe Diem would consist of an early breakfast being ready for the early risers which would be a selection of cereals, muesli, granola, seasonal fruit and tea/coffee. At 08:00 the staff will be ready to prepare a warm breakfast where the guests can choose from eggs, warm toasts, fruit salad and smoothies, pancakes and more. For lunch and dinner our guests can expect a varied choice of international and indonesian meals, with a big mediterranean influence in the cooking style and use of ingredients including the well known spices with high regenerative properties. Lunch is served from 12.30 to 13.30 and dinner from 19.00 to 20.30. Mid morning and afternoon snacks will also be made available. We also are ready to fulfill any special requests in special dietary menu and obtaining alcohol beverages which are not included in our charter rate except for the complimentary locally brewed beer. However since the government tax on imported alcoholic beverages is very high, we do recommend our guests coming from abroad to carry their preferred alcoholic beverages.
Does Carpe Diem offer diving and surfing?
We do not specifically offer dive or surf charters but will help accommodate those clients who wish to incorporate these activities into their voyage. At many of our mooring destinations local dive masters can be made available for help and guidance. It should be noted that clients who wish to scuba dive should have their own personal dive insurance. A generous amount and full size range of snorkeling equipment is carried on board. The Nusa Isles, Gili`s and Rote are all famed for their pristine surf breaks and coral reefs. If you feel inclined to, bring your board, go with the flow and the boys on board will ensure you get some waves along the way.
